My Roles: Design Lead, Level Design, Gameplay Design, 2D Artist
RIVA originally started as a university project created in a group of 8 people over the course of a few months as one of four projects that semester. My role was that of the Lead Designer, putting me into a managment within my team of four designers, as well as making me responsible for the level design and map creation. I also conceptualized and refined most of the mini games in tandem with the responsible programmer. After we completed the university project we decided to keep working on the game after finishing our masters education and have since shown the game off at multiple exhibitions such as Copenhagen Gaming Week and ITU Summer Games 2025 . We still continue to work on the game, aiming for a full release on steam around 2027.

RIVA is a 2.5D story driven potion crafting game. You take on the role of Riva, a young portionmaker apprentice, as she learns the ins and out of the forest around her and how she san use the forests many resources to create magical potions. One day a merchant arrives in the village with mysterious glowing stones from beyond the forest which can do everything the potions could and more, though noone knew the danger these stones would bring with them...Â
