Hi, I'm Julian, a Game- and Level Designer currently based in Copenhagen. I did my BA in Game Design at the Zurich University of the Arts, Switzerland in 2023 and finished my Masters degree, also in Game Design, at the IT University of Copenhagen this summer 2025.
I specialize in game design but both in- and outside my studies have also done work and practiced graphic design, UX & UI design and multimedia design in general. On top of that I've learned and practiced coding roles, especially in C#, all throughout my studies. As such I consider myself a generalist in the digital space, well able to perform tasks in both a design and a technical space, with insights which come from being familiar with both aspects of digital work.
Art & Design
These are the primary programs I use for my digital art creation. I create drawings and smaller animations in Photoshop and Procreate, switch to Aseprite when doing pixelart, create 3D models with blender and use Illustrator and InDesign for miscellaneous design tasks like UI, formating and presentation.
Gamedev & Programming
When developing games my most frequent engine of choice is Unity which means my proficiency with that engine and its primary language, C#, is best. I use GitHub for version control, used Godot on a few occasions and learned to use html for some of my previous projects.
Other Programs I use
Whereever theres mountains or forest or both, I like walking until me legs wont walk anymore.
Also pictured: Garou, my favourite hiking partner.
I've been sailing since i was 10, first as pictured on lake Schluchsee in the black forest and now also with a bigger boat on the Øresund with danish winds and waves!
I've always loved playing games, be it with cards, boards, on the PC, with a ball or anything else.
I especially like strategic board games but ill be happy to play just about any game whenever someone asks!
I play DnD with my group twice a week, once as a DM hosting my own homebrew campaign and once as a player.
My game has gone over 50+ sessions by now and wont stop anytime soon.
I've learned to ski when I was three and participated in races every winter until I left Germany to study abroad.
Nowadays, I still love skiing but do it just for fun and no longer competitively.
I've been drawing, painting and sketching for a long time, both digitally and physically.
These days I mostly draw on my Ipad or in my notebook which looks more like a sketchbook by now.
